This is about trying to dirty up Hoyer to prevent him from
becoming the leader of the House RATs when Pelosi retires
or gets pushed out.
Radio talk host Les Kinsolving called this joker “Spendy Horror”. I have had the misfortune of having to have followed his career since he won a 15-way primary to succeed Gladys Noon Spellman, the “state vegetable of Maryland”, a three term lunatic pro-abort who had a massive stroke shortly before the 1980 election, was unable to take the oath of office in January, 1981, and her seat was declared vacant months after that.
You have to figure that Spendy is safe for this election and the one in 2020. He’ll be 82 years old in 2022, and how the state is gerrymandered by the Maryland legislature will determine his fate. Before he was elected to Congress, he was a state Senator from what was then mostly a while area of southern Prince George’s county. Today, that area is probably 80%+ Black, with the rest being a hodgepodge of other minorities and a few whites who are attached to Joint Base Andrews. He’s lived in Saint Mary’s County in southern Maryland, but that area has had a political realignment and is completely represented by the GOP in Annapolis. I sense that his district will be taken apart, and most of the GOP will be combined with the Eastern Shore (like this district was in the 70s and 80s).
This guy is a master politician; he is just as loony left as Pelosi, but he has a way of calming people down that Pelosi lacks that makes him look like a “centrist”. He claims to be a Baptist but despises pro-life Christians with a purple passion. One bad dude.
Steny Hoyer is an old line Maryland politician. His district is so gerrymandered that he is politically bulletproof.
