Thomas Edison said vision without execution is hallucination. We don't know if Admiral Jackson has the vision needed, but it's highly unlikely that he has the ability to put his vision into action. This is not a "big picture" only job. It has to be hands on.
OK. That’s what makes horse races. I don’t know if this man has the ability to translate vision into a concrete reality, I haven’t met him. POTUS, who has seen a lot of people take on jobs and succeed or fail, thinks he can.
My experience with people that run big organizations is that they mostly move from organization to organization and the methods are not different whether they have a widget factory or a pharmy firm. I think this is a different animal.
