I have to be careful as I have suffered so much at the hands of such people—I won’t give the details.
The GOP wastes its precious resources, time, and the goodwill of its base when it tries to go along with the Karl Rove theory of tiny bits of each voting bloc being added to GOP’s total votes. Reality: millions of Trump voters were ones who stayed home for Romney,McCain,Bush,et al but now came out to register and vote. Don’t lose them on silly pandering to blacks who hate Trump and us. For every wonderful Diamond & Silk there are twenty BLM ones who want cops killed.
There’s going to need to be mass disillusionment of the “black vote” with the Democrat party.
I don’t rule it out, it could well happen. The flies will have to be repulsed from the vinegar before they will pay attention to the honey.
But a good “what in hell have you really done for us, Democrats” song or two, and the meme might get rolling.

No politician or even talking head is pandering to anybody here. We are witnessing a cry for Freedom from a population in dire need of it. We know the answer. But we know they don't trust us, in recent decades.
Honest history lessons is what will eventually turn many minds, I believe. So many have never heard it told. We will do well to at least not give them additional reasons to distrust that we are Christian and Freedom minded. During the time it takes for some to emerge from cultural suffocation.
This question is decided at the margins. There were a significant number of blacks out there in 2016 willing to buy Trump’s comment of, “what have you got to lose?” I believe it to be the case in fact that the difference between Obama’s black votes and Hillary’s was bigger than Trump’s margin of victory in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, etc., Hillary would be President right now. The GOP doesn’t need “the black vote”, they just need the black vote to be a little less monolithic. Anything that just even opens up the question as debatable is a huge win.
