Silverleaf is correct, and I was in the wrong. Betty Shabazz was murdered by her grandson Malcolm, who was himself murdered in Mexico City in 2013, at the age of 28.

The reason for his demise reportedly had something to do with "a dispute over a $1,200 bar tab for drinks and female companionship," according to the New York Times.

Malik Shabazz is a different person, and I apologize for the error.
