somehow medical diagnosis is soooooo much more complex & difficult in the US than 36 other countries with better quality health care at 1/2 the cost.

My Mom had a similar event, went to UCSD ( because Scripps is a death trap ) - sloppy, chaos, kinda clean, harried & confused, lots and lots of people rushing around ; fortunately she wasn‘t killed; $64,000

I didn’t insult you, but you insist on being insulting. All I will say is that I will put my medical knowledge, diagnostic and procedural skills, as well as my research productivity and innovation up against anyone you’ve ever met, in any country, ever. If you honestly think that physicians in the US are incompetent and less skilled than those abroad, then you should seek all of your medical care elsewhere.
Regarding costs in Germany, this is a country in which 77% of health care is government funded, and people earning more than EUR 52,882 per year are subject to a tax rate of 42% (not to mention all the other taxes paid). Feel free to move there. Or, you can push for socialized medicine here, but then one would have to ask what you are doing on this particular conservative site.
Too many people are NOT active participants in their health care.....you should always investigate your illness and the treatments. Also be aware of what your record states. And if you have questions ask, don’t just sit back not be involved.
