The black leadership, together with white liberals, know assimilation has failed and are grasping at the next best thing: The de facto reparations they’ve been reaping for half a century now.

It is not true that assimilation failed. Liberals, democrats and other Marxists have been fighting against assimilation for 150 years. The current system is their gravy train.

Without government jobs and affirmative action slots in the private sector, black unemployment would be through the roof. Blacks were better assimilated 50 years ago; I’m sure they were much closer to their white peers in education, job skills, etc..
