Sounds like somebody at the NRA screwed up. It happens.

I am not a member, but I would believe the NRA before I believe Yeti Inc.

Why? The NRA isn’t getting destroyed on social media for turning against gun owners. If Yeti’s statement accurately represents what happened, why did it take three days to inform us? As hard as Yeti is getting hit on this, I am more inclined to believe Yeti is lying, or at least twisting facts. Their product is a luxury. When people say they won’t buy it, they won’t.
