that is partly right
IF they touch our soil they are entitled to a hearing on their status, whether they are entitled to refugee status and they can stay while their status is being decided. IT can be decided they are not entitled to refugee status and then deported but reality is they nearly always get to stay.
which is why not letting them get a foot out OUR soil is so important
but I can’t see a good way to prevent them from getting in.
No we can’t shot them no matter how right it would be to defend our own border
It’s my understanding that is non-Mexicans can touch our soil, they are NOT deportable.
__________
Unless it was changed, this only applied to Cubans.
>>It’s my understanding that is non-Mexicans can touch our soil, they are NOT deportable.<<
This is all the proof anyone needs to conclude that, with very few exceptions, our elected representatives in Congress are despicable enemies of the very people they are elected to serve and protect. When the uprising finally begins, they should be the first targets of our wrath.
I think that is only true for Cubans feeling communist tyranny
