Your data is about right. However, your what if is irrelevant as casualties would not nearly approach 3.4%. Circumstances, demographics, etc, are much different. Nevertheless, even small armed clash’s of conflicting groups/militias will have major reprocussions for sure.

Yes, there are an almost infinite number of variables which one reason I just did a straight "what if" based on numbers.

But who is to say if the ratio would be less or more today?

On one hand we do have far, far superior medical care which would greatly reduce deaths among the wounded.

On the other hand the advances in lethal weaponry are just as great, if not more so.
The killing power of a modern day squad equipped with automatic weapons, explosives and communications backed up by air power
no doubt exceeds that of multiple battalions 160 years ago.

Either way, the muslim hordes and others would love to watch Americans killing Americans by the thousands.

“But who is to say if the ratio would be less or more today?” Yeh, the scenarios that can be conjured are almost infinite. But, it appears to me that first of all there won’t be a civil war nor a revolution in the traditional sense, reasons being; most Americans have jobs, families, are vested in their communities, churches, etc. and, there are zero states what would in mass vote to leave the union. during the Civil War era, many men were farmers or frontiersmen. They could go volunteer for one side or the other while wife and young children took care of the farm. Also, today the U.S. military rank and file is conservative politically. So, the probability of U.S. troops firing on fellow Americans, bothers, sisters, sons, daughters, etc, is remote. Even an event such as the Branch Davidians or Ruby Ridge is unlikely. As you may recall, the Feds went to great lengths to avoid a shooting confrontation in Nevada at the Bundy Ranch not too long ago. Social media and the internet has changed the game considerably. Anyway, the opportunity to meet at the barricades is unlikely. That’s how I see it anyway. Just my two bits 🙄...
