Yes, Jim Jordan is a solid conservative. For that reason, he is going to have a hard time getting majority support.
It’s cute when you get a crush on someone, Dick.
Doesn’t matter what “we” the people think. The swamp scum in the house have the vote and final say and they want nothing to do with him.
Jim Jorden is also the top choice for GOA. (gun owners of America)
The RINOs will rally around their RINO buddy Kevin McCarthy. It’s HIS turn. That’s how the establishment in DC rolls.
US HOUSE SWITCHBOARD NUMBER:
(202) 224-3121
Hes got my vote!
I think Jordan is spectacular. But I am always concerned that someone “spectacular” placed in a position where 150-200 weak lackeys pummel him relentlessly with their whining eventually wear him down until he becomes one of them.
I also think Jim Jordan would work well as RNC, but then I have been following the news very closely for years. I lived in Ohio for a number of years, so I still pay attention.
If Jordan really wants the spot this go round, he will need to make himself much better known to the average conservative than he is today.
That probably means subjecting himself to the silly, noisy, biased news shows of the main stream media. Until now, I didn’t think Jim Jordan had the stomach to tolerate the propagandists on the left or swamp dwellers of the RINO camp. We will soon discover if he is ready for it. I hope that he is.
Yes!!!!!
Amen!
Waste of time, the House Republicans get to vote and they could care less what anyone thinks. Need proof?
I suspect the next speaker will be another Gope. All the Conservatives voted for Ryan knowing exactly what they were getting because they are velcroed tightly to the tradition that the most Establishmentarian long serving Republican must be the Speaker. Then there is the ironclad Republican rule of Turns. It won’t be Jordan’s Turn for at least ten more years and then only if he is firmly cemented into what we are now calling the Deep State.
He doesn’t need supporters on FR, he needs 218 votes in the House of Representatives. He doesn’t have them.
Thumbs up from me.
No chance that Jordan will get the position with so many wet noodle spines in congress.
Sure, it looks like heavy lifting at this point, but why throw in the towel when the bell has barely rung for Round One.
All indications are that the political winds will be blowing in the face of the Repub Nevertrumpers by early summer as the Mueller probe implodes and anti-Trump GOPers will suffer damage in the backwash of blame and recrimination.
At that inflection point Jim Jordan will be waiting to take the presently moribund Congressional Republican House in into a new and dynamic direction.
Let's give the guy a helping hand rather than a knee to the groin.
I would rather see Tom DeLay as the new speaker
