RUSH: Andrew Cuomo did, in fact, tweet — for those of you new to the program, I know it’s “Cuomo.” But back in the day when the Reverend Jackson wanted the Democrat nomination for the presidency one of his regular opponents at the time was Governor Cuomo of New York, Mario “The Pious.” And for whatever reason, the Reverend Jackson pronounced the name “Cuomo.”
It’s like he didn’t see the O in it when he looked at it. So to avoid the charge of making fun of the Reverend Jackson, if he thought it was Cuomo, then on this program it was Cuomo. And it just became a habit. So whenever I see the name I sometimes pronounce it “Cuomo” because that’s how the Reverend Jackson did.
But, anyway, the son of Mario “The Pious” tweeted the following: “As a New Yorker, I am a Muslim. I am a Jew. I am Black. I am gay. I am a woman seeking to control her body. We are one New York.”
Now, see, I’m the mayor of Realville. Andrew, you are none of those things. You are a straight, white, Catholic male. He just tried to paint a picture of New York as everything but what he is. In painting this great mosaic of New York, he didn’t include white. He didn’t say he was male. He didn’t say he was Catholic, and he didn’t say he was Italian. He said, “As a New Yorker, I’m a Muslim, I’m a Jew, I’m black, I’m gay, I’m a woman seeking to control her body. We are one New York.” No. You are a straight, white, Catholic male. What is with these people?

Andrew Cuomo was obviously going for some kind of “I am Spartacus” moment. It worked great in the movie, but this approach falls flat when it comes from someone of such a privileged background.
Interesting that he put “Jew” on his list, because politicians of his ilk often do not support Jewish interests.
Seems like he made a boo-boo in failing to mention Hispanic. He might catch some flak for that.
If some of Donald Trump's tweets are considered ill-advised, Cuomo’s tweet is so representative of his party's stupidity in emphasizing the race/gender/religion/sexual orientation/etc. differences in the voting population. How dumb do voters have to be to support this BS?

I don't think he's turned NY into a "sanctuary state," at least not yet. Of course, like most leftists, he would deliberately flout the US Constitution in the area of immigration law if it would benefit himself and his fellow 'Rats politically. Today was fantasy day for Andrew. Wonder what hallucinatory drug he might have been taking.

The term "people of color" or "person of color" is inane to begin with. It should be expunged from the civil discourse ASAP. That's because every human being on the planet - except for albinos - has skin cells which produce a pigment called melanin. So in the scientific sense, just about everyone is "a person of color." (As in so many areas, the left seeks to control the argument by controlling the vocabulary.) The appropriate term to replace it would be "non-Caucasians."
The term, is not even English syntax -- it is French syntax. It should never be spoken in terms of speaking english. The term colored people may be detested by the lib/commies, but at least it is better English than the pc nonsense we are bombarded with. Also colored and Negro are less offensive than black because black has so many negative connotations; e.g., b.ack death.
