29 years?

I believe of course in due process. And believe in appeals and carefully carrying out legal appeals and processes.

But what happened that the whole process took decades???

Wasn’t Timothy McVeigh executed five or six years after the Oklahoma City bombing, in contrast to this case?

I believe McVeigh said he didn’t want any appeals.

The death penalty standard here in America has to have been set when a man tried to kill the President-elect, Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1932.

While FDR escaped injury in the attempt, Chicago mayor Tony Cermak was severely wounded. 2 weeks into the trial Mr. Cermak expired, and they switched mid-stream into a murder trial.

The suspect was captured, arrested, arraigned, tried, convicted and executed in 34 days, iirc.

Im no conspiracy nut, but i truly believe the government did not want McVeigh talking, so he was given the express path to execution.
