“And any company that does not allow employees to request that someone leave is idiotic and feckless.”

That’s Starbucks to a tee! The good employee has left the company. Just wished he/she would go public and tell us if it was by choice or not!
I own an office building next door to a Starbucks. Their on-site managers are Mensas when you compare them to their district manager. From my experience, the farther up the management chain you go, the dumber they become.

I had the opposite experience in Kansas. The home office execs were pretty sharp. The local yokels they put into management, other end of the spectrum.

It was NOT a Starbuck’s BTW. Haven’t been inside one in a long, long time.

In fact, purposely moved a friendly meeting with someone from church (in Texas) simply to not give them any $$$$.
