Attorney and frequent Fox News guest Alan Dershowitz criticized host Sean Hannity on Monday for not disclosing his relationship with Michael Cohen, President Trump's attorney, during his frequent discussions about Cohen in recent weeks.
Dershowitz, a defender of Trump amid his legal woes, was brought on to discuss former FBI Director James Comey’s Sunday night interview on ABC News, but first addressed the Monday revelation that Hannity is the previously unnamed client of Cohen.
“I really think you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen,” Dershowitz said, calling it a “complicated situation.”
“It was minimal,” Hannity responded.
“I understand that, and you should’ve said that,” Dershowitz, an opinion contributor for The Hill, replied. You were in a tough position because, A, you had to talk about Cohen, and, B, you didn’t want the fact hat you had spoken with him to be revealed.”
“I have the right to privacy,” Hannity interjected. “It was such a minor relationship.”
“You should have said that,” Dershowitz said.
Hannity was revealed to be Cohen's client during a hearing Monday afternoon related to last week's FBI raids of Cohen's office and home. Cohen's attorney only shared Hannity's identity after a judge ordered him to.
Hannity is a staunch ally of Trump’s, and frequently defends the president on his Fox News show. He was fiercely critical of last week’s raids on Cohen’s office, using it as a launching point to attack special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Trump supporters do have a right to privacy. You said they don’t. This is false.
Not personal. Holding you accountable. Why did you say it?

“Supreme authority Mueller” you say, and you weren’t being sarcastic?
The first test of intelligence and of credibility is that of honesty.
Your obsession is just plain creepy. Mueller has indeed comported himself as a supreme authority, and Rosenstein, far from reining him in, has provided only encouragement. Are you going to flog this to death, or is there a limit?
You’re overlooking two important facts:
1) Trump supporters have the right to privacy.
2) Mueller is not a supreme authority.
But in my perception you post as though you’re hiding an anti Trump ideology, and it seems you possibly make your points about Trump supporters and Mueller because you not only believe them, but celebrate them as well. Two of your most suspicious traits are your defensiveness and general hostility in answering my posts.
It could be I’m wrong, that you’re not an anti American. If so, I apologize.
But if you are it’s a different story.
And as for the anti-America agenda—there’s only one reason people need to hide it. It has no real value. Can’t be sold at face value. Support for the anti America agenda comes from a lower intellectual capacity.
Have Steffyonapush, Cuomo, Lester Holt and all of the other FakeNews dolts revealed their VERY close relationships with every 0bozo/Clinton attorney or counsel that they’ve interviewed???
