The Canadian province of Ontario has banned the breed since 2006. They didn’t go and seize the pit bulls or dogs similar in looks to them but outlawed breeding or importing them and neutering those dogs that existed at the time. The numbers have been dwindling over the years and attacks by pit bulls at least have dropped as well.
