All of the films previously mentioned are good. My absolute favorite is Battle Los Angeles with Aaron Eckhart. USMC vs. Aliens in urban combat. If you haven’t seen it I recommend that you do. The Aliens are unique and appear to be unstoppable but the Marines eventually figure out their weaknesses and prevail. Lots of USMC fighting spirit, history, and modern high tech war fighting covered in the movie. Makes one proud to be an American!

I watch that movie at least three times a year.

There’s also a soft spot in me for Godzilla: Final Wars. Mainly for the classic line spoken to the alien invaders by the only non Japanese actor in it who was also an MMA fighter:
“Son, there’s two things you need to know about the earth. One is me. The other one is.....Godzilla.”

Straight cheese.

Agreed! I think Battle for Los Angeles might have been a made for TV movie, but I don't know. It was an awesome movie, though.
