Speaking in Downing Street, Mrs May said the "limited and targeted strikes" had degraded Syria's ability to use chemical weapons.
"This collective action sends a clear message that the international community will not stand by and tolerate the use of chemical weapons," she said.
Drawing a link with the recent nerve agent attack in Salisbury, Mrs May added: "We cannot allow the use of chemical weapons to become normalised - either within Syria, on the streets of the UK or elsewhere."
She also said she would make a statement to Parliament on Monday and give MPs a chance to ask questions.

Whitehall officials say the aim of launching strikes against Syria has been to deal a big enough blow to the Assad regime that it deters it from using chemical weapons again - but not so big as to alter the course of the Syrian conflict or draw retaliation from Russia.

It is obvious that the Douma "incident" was staged to force Trump to act against Assad, who had won the war and had no reason whatsoever to gas the very civilians he had just freed. But once again, President Trump has taken his real enemy's gambit off the table and can get back to business. I just wish we hadn't wasted all those precious Tomahawk missiles.
As for the Russians, I'm sure they knew what we were doing last night. The civil war in Syria has nothing to do with "human rights" and everything to do with a natural gas pipeline from the Persian Gulf to Europe - and Russia has a strategic interest in its outcome. Europe and our globalist Deep State wants Assad removed so they can build the pipeline and starve Russia of its largest export trade. This is a form of warfare and it is dangerous. Moscow knows it has a conventional military disadvantage and has spent the last decade building devastating new strategic weapons as the only counter it can afford. With US/NATO forces now on its borders, Russia has warned that if real shooting starts, its response will be total.

It saddens me to think the USA is once again acting as SA's puppet, but if the pipeline story is true, then that's what we're doing.
Chlorine is easily made; there are literally thousands of places all over the world that do it. It has many uses, is commonly made and not regulated (not much, anyway). It is easily transported in sealed containers without any special handling. It is easily dispensed - by aircraft, artillery, or simply opening a valve on the ground. It is untraceable as to origin or how it was deployed.
Its effects on humans are unmistakeable and well known.

If I were a citizen of the UK, I’d sleep well at night knowing that I had a prime minister who was more concerned about protecting Syrian citizens in their civil war than about protecting UK citizens from Pakistani and African looters, rapists, and murderers.
