NEW - local sources claim missile strikes have hit a major #Hezbollah base in Al-Qusayr, near the #Lebanon border. That’d be a very significant development - the first (I believe) U.S. strike *ever* on Hezbollah & a potent message to #Iran.

Yes this also going after Iran, which OWNS Syria big time, nobody is talking about Iran, the country has to be dealt with.
THAT is very telling, if true. And if there is any connection at all between Assad’s chem weapons and Hezbollah, this thing just took on further meaning. Or maybe not - I’ve always assumed that Syria / Iran would eventually “leak” chem weapons to Hezbollah, or the Hezzies would eventually be given “room” to develop their own. Maybe they were?
IMHO this is very much about Iran.

God this US TV coverage is terrible. Domestic reporters rambling incoherently when asked basic questions about what is going on Syria.
