Besides tomahawks and nukes (which they no longer carry) TF38 was far more deadly than this effort.

A couple of our nuclear attacks subs could take out every carrier in 1945's TF 38 with ease, leaving the rest of the ships to be mopped up by the Truman and her escorts.

The 2018 task force probably wouldn't take a single casualty.
