James Comey is a writer of fiction and has a wildly fanciful imagination.
The very best lies are those that have a plausible ring to them, and are actually incorporated with some nuggets of truth. But spleen and exaggeration have a way of spilling out and severely diluting the power of the narrative.
If the intent was to be effective (at eventually removing Trump as President), then there should have been a couple more rewrites undertaken before release.
