Assuming this fantasy became reality, the area that is currently California would end up with a total of six senators. Two from current California, plus 2 more for each of the new states.

Actually, they would. However, that’s a good thing. 2/3 of Kali is conservative. That means 2 liberal senators and 4 conservative. We pick up 4 Senators.
