Undocumented immigrants without a criminal background are being deported in the Philadelphia region at greater rates than in other states, a report by Philly.com and ProPublica shows.
The Philadelphia Immigration and Customs Enforcement office arrested more immigrants without criminal convictions than any of the other 23 regions in the U.S. last year, says the report.
Immigrants without criminal records made up 64 percent of "at large" arrests last year in the Philadelphia ICE field office, compared with 38 percent in the rest of the U.S., said the report.
The Philadelphia ICE region includes parts of Pennsylvania, along with Delaware and West Virginia.

Um, the minute they stepped over the border they had a criminal background. As for those brought as babes, I posit they had criminal backgrounds at age 18 unless they submitted themselves to the authorities.

Funny. My filipino friend got his green card renewal last FRIDAY and he was afraid ICE might come for him. But the govt gave him a one year temporary sticker on the old green card so he was OK but still. he was so happy he bought us lunch.
Wouldn’t it be nice if ONE Republican politician lectured the media about the meaning of the word ILLEGAL. Oh wait... The Stupid Party doesn’t know the difference between “undocumented” and “illegal.”
