Was she under oath? Because Michael Flynn wasn’t, but they got him anyway. How in the world...oh, never mind. Two sets of rules; how could I forget?
I don’t think one has to be under oath to run afoul of “lying to a Federal agent” law as long as the questioners identify themselves as Fed agents. As for Samantha Power, it was not that she was lying or telling the truth, she may very well have been telling the truth and she probably was. But the implication of her stating that someone else forged her signature on the FISA unmasking requests is absolutely damning. It’s even more damning if she *was* telling the truth in my non-lawyer opinion. But nobody at the hearing where she stated that seemed to pick up on that or assign any sort of importance to the implication.
