Classified data is not all just sitting out there like the internet or google...
From what have come to understand...Access is logged and very controlled for the most part..rarely by one person..usually 2 or more required.... especially intel or data related to humans... I suspect they both have very clipped wings at the moment...

I’ve done work for government entities for 40 years. I have seen plenty thrown out in the street until the investigation is completed. They will get paid but have no access to any thing.

My wife works for the government. She has access to a lot of stuff. If there was even a hint of misconduct she would lose access to everything until it was sorted out.
My son has a government security clearance and works on software on their computers. Same thing. If they thought he was dirty, he would be blocked until it got sorted out.
