All quiet for now.

There are, within the last 2 hours, Navy P-8A surveillance & recon aircraft on a rotating patrol over the E Med.

They are a 737 variant with added wideband satellite communication capability. It has enhanced Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Anti-surface Warfare (ASuW) capabilities and expanded electronics for partner coordination.

We’ve definately got our eyes and ears open.

Forgot to mention we launched an E3TF AWACS circling over S Turkey about 3 hours ago.

This is our way of letting the Russkies know we have assets in place that can scan all over Syria.

You got a JCS teletype in your bedroom? Source? P-3s patrolled the same track for 40 years. Nothing new except that 50 P-8s are trying to replace 456 P-3s.
