“The State of Maryland approved medical marijuana this year. They are 37 legal dispensaries in the state. As a comparison, there are only 20 Motor Vehicle Administration offices in the state to get license plates. There simply can’t be that many people in legitimate chronic need of cannabis.”

DMV is a very bad comparison since people rarely need to go. A better consideration is the fact that there are nearly as many pharmacies as food stores.

The bottom line is most people need medication as they get older and cannabis is useful for a wide variety of common ailments. It is far less toxic, less addictive and impairs less than many prescription pills that are sold on every corner. It can also be grown nearly for free by poor handicapped people. A free natural plant instead of giving absurd amounts of tax dollars to big pharma for their toxic, addictive pills like we do now. (Follow the money!)

The only reason they hold it back and call it the Devil is big pharma and booze $$$ that would be lost.

I have several acquaintances that are cancer survivors. They are all HUGE proponents of medical marijuana. The results speak for them self.

Oh, and it is dirt cheap when you consider its effectiveness.

My analogy is perfectly accurate. Citizens are required to use DMV and they are inconveniently located. Pot stores are also state controlled and are popping up everywhere.

Pot is not medically needed by several hundred thousand people. Those who claim so are insane.
