Speaker Paul D. Ryan announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in November, ending a brief stint atop the House and signaling the peril that the Republican majority faces in the midterm elections.

The Bush League Republicans are trying to lose the House and Ryan does not want to be around after that.
yippee!!!!
Now, lets see who the next liberal is the Republicans will put in.
Im thinking about changing my voter registration again. I am SO disgusted with Congress.
Ryan is the one that decided the Republicans should lose the house. He couldve backed trump all along instead of bashing him every step. Weasel
I cant believe Trump said nice things about him. Disgusting..
Wonder if Ryan and Romney are gonna run against Trump....
Will Mitch Mc Connell announce next?
I’m not sure whether to be happy about this or not, mainly because I don’t know how his district looks politically. On the one hand, I have little use for Paul Ryan, so if he’s in a Congressional district that’s safe for Republicans, we’ll probably get someone better in his place, or at the very least someone who isn’t much worse. On the other hand, if he’s in a “purple” district, there’s always a chance that a Democrat fills his House seat.
Trump endorsed both Ryan and McCain and they repaid him with backstabbing.
Bush League Republicans want to keep the borders open and the laws unenforced.
The Cheap Labor Express is all that matters to them.
Trump needs to stop endorsing Uniparty weasels who only want to block him from stopping the illegal alien inundation.
Good riddance!
To my knowledge, the only ones resigning are RINO House members.
And this includes RINO Ryan.
Now the DNC picks another looser to lead the GOP-e
I reckon the GOP will completely ignore Nehlen in his district, and will probably back any dem that runs against him.
QUIT NOW. We don’t need LAME DUCK loser for the remainder of the year. Go now!!!
Good riddance. But unfortunately this means yet another Democrat pick up.
November 2018 and 2020 is going to be larger blood bath for Republicans than 2006 and 2008. The media narritive is working big time. Regardless of Trumps successes, the people don’t see it because all they hear is how scandal ridden Trump and the Republicans are and they see the Democrats as the party that “cares about people just like them”. The Mueller investigation has done irrepareable damage to Trump and his administration. I really don’t see any hope out there.
2016 was just a brief refrain from the huge disaster that is to come.
I am from his district. He went from conservative wonderkind to Swamp Rat over the years, but never shed the image of conservative wonder king, so a.ways won by HUGE margins. I even voted against him in the last election, but he still won 80/20. Now that the Dems see a shot and are hyped up and winning elections everywhere, I truly believe they will target this seat like never before. Even though this is a red district, WI is a purple state and in the current climate, it will definitely go Dem. not even a question in my mind unless Republic come up with a stellar candidate and pour tons of money into this race. I dont think they will. They recently just gave away a conservative Supreme Court seat to a liberal. This will be no different.
Good. The SWAMP CREATURE should be in federal prison along with the rest of the economic terrorist creatures.
Their retirement packages and assets should be seized. We were not born to be their debt slaves via taxation.
The Republican “peril” is largely due to the fact that Ryan has operated as a typical Republican: no brain, no backbone, and no balls.
What a worthless POS. Of course, he had to continue the tradition of Bonehead, who had no brain, no backbone, no balls, and no charisma.
[Wonder if Ryan and Romney are gonna run against Trump....]
2020 will be another circus with a dozen or more being trotted out to bash PRESIDENT TRUMP.
Are you sure about this? Was Ryan's win an anomaly in what is otherwise a safe Democrat district, or is his district one where Republicans stand a good chance of winning?
