You nailed it. That right there is what needs to be exposed. FBI agents don’t, necessarily write the warrant. There are AUSAs, assigned to work with the agents, in all the agencies. They take the information from the agents and write the actual warrant and then present it to the judge. Done in the hopes that everything the agent(s) did is within the law and the warrant already answers any questions a judge might have.
I’d be curious to know how this warrant was presented and the language in it. Does it actually have Cohen and Trump listed in the warrant? Does it mention that he is the Presidents personal attorney? Does it mention that the warrant is to see records that are under, attorney-client privilege? Lots of questions need to be answered. I wonder if Mueller and the FBI will resist releasing the affidavit because of an “ongoing investigation”.
