::I just hope they don’t bring their beliefs and voting records with them
But they do...::
That is such a wild notion that people have in their heads and it’s difficult to dissuade them otherwise. We made it out of CA 12 years ago, took our conservative values with us to GA. Truth be told, more conservatives flee the state than the opposite. Yes - years and years ago when conservative was the WORD for CA - the liberals did flee to OR and WA but that was long ago and times changed. The liberals are perfectly happy now staying right where they are.
You too can get out....You don’t need a neighboring state...
Not so sure about that. They seem to have no grasp of cause and effect. Many liberals also worry about rising crime, runaway taxes, outrageous housing prices, decrepit infrastructure, overcrowding etc. but don't seem to comprehend they're getting what they voted for. Instead they leave and take the same problems with them.
I agree there's certainly an entrenched liberal elitist class along the coast, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, etc. that enjoys the new feudal system in the state: an illegal underclass to serve them at very low wages which also votes for Democrats. But it's not just conservatives fleeing CA.
