CAFE standards have RUINED automobiles in America, particularly pickup trucks and SUVs. The Obama administration's stringent reinterpretation of the standards forced vehicles we DO NOT WANT into dealer showrooms and took away the ones we loved.
Scott Pruitt is doing exactly the kind of work that people elected Donald Trump to do and he's received quite a target on his back doing it. The left believes the EPA is theirs to do as they see fit, regardless of who is in the White House and they're not giving it up without a fight!
I support Scott Pruitt without hesitation. He is perhaps President Trump's best pick. Crush the EPA!

This is why the “newspeople” are viciously attacking him.

If this is supposed to make us hate Pruitt, then EPIC FAIL.

On Monday, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt announced his plans to scrap Obama-era Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for passenger cars and trucks, which require automobile manufacturers maintain a fleet-wide average of 54.5 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2025. This bold move by Pruitt will result in more affordable vehicles and additional cash in the pockets of families across the country.Wow!!

Keep in mind the 54.5mpg CAFE is about ~40mpg sticker for a car and ~30mpg sticker for a truck.
It did not mean a 54.5mpg sticker average.

What Pruitt eliminates, I am sure a 9th circuit judge will reinstate.
