...the lead agent in charge of his security detail advised him that sirens were to be used only in emergencies... Good. Sirens should only be used for emergencies. And there is no such thing as an emergency situation as it relates to the job of a bureaucrat at the EPA - even the guy in charge.

Totally agree.
As far as I know “Late”, “Wait” and “Work” are still four letter words and you should know better than to use them.
