Everyone has a role to play in the body politic. While our job as patriots is to help save/preserve the republic, the nation's domestic enemies are tasked with destroying liberty so that they may assume unchallenged power.
Consider Jim's excellent points in #6. No one engaged in propaganda as part of an overall strategy of defeating logical opposition is for one moment going to consider the necessity of supporting any assertion with facts. That's not their job; in fact, it's poison to their cause.
The responsibility of countering lies is that of patriotic opinion leaders - such as those found here on FR. Let a snake be a snake - don't try and reform, rather attack and neutralize when necessary.
