They are openly talking about going to gun owners and prying the guns from our cold, dead, hands.
Now logistics messes up most people, but I would be a few hundred bucks that someone has a detailed plan to do just that. We did it in Iraq (poorly) with a much more violent society.
Throw up roadblocks around a small town in Texas and go do to door seizing guns and/or killing gun owners. Do it on live TV and a lot of people will hand them in.
A lot will also go full Mad Max.

Yes they could not even successfully do it in Iraq and the United States is a little bigger and heavier armed.
Yeah I am sure U.S. Troops would love going after their families, friends, violating their sworn oath to the U.S. Constitution and starting a Civil War for a bunch of control freaks will work out real well.

Most people in small town U.S.A. (like yours truly) know where police officers live.
If the police were foolish enough to try that, THEIR homes and THEIR families would immediately be under attack.
Not gonna work.
Um....Not going to happen.
They can come to our houses to get the guns, but we won’t be home... we’ll be at their houses.
