If someone is unarmed and breaking into your house to assault you and your children...would it be OK to kill them so that they wouldn’t kill you and your family? Toughen-up.
How do you know they are unarmed?
How do you know they’re not carrying concealed firearms?
How do you know they’re not wearing explosive vests?
How do you know they’re not carriers of virulent biological weapons?
It’s better to deal with the Trojan Horse while it’s still outside the gates.
First, they aren't unarmed civilians
they're invaders attempting to violate our country's sovereignty (borders).
Second, lethal force is perhaps the only way to actually signal that we're serious about border security after literally decades of non-enforcement and no-ammo border guards

These wouldn't be a problem if any time in the past twenty years the repeated promises of Congress for border security and immigration enforcement were actually honored — IOW, the only reason things are this bad now is because the underlying problems were kicked down the road for so long that non-enforcement became the expected status quo.
If things aren't taken care of now, mark my words, they will get worse.
