Israeli .22cal Snipers are getting tons of practice
Jeff Cooper once had a fairly long article on how to control riots, particularly those that were being directed by a few “handlers”. He suggested .22 Magnum target rifles. Spotters would watch and pick out the handlers, then pass the information on to the snipers. The snipers would shoot the handlers in the guts with the .22 Magnum. He said that it would not instantly drop them (which might stampede the people around them), but make them want to be somewhere else in a hurry.
I always wondered when and where his idea would be used first. I doubt that this is the first. There have been a number of other places that I have wondered about before this.
