Where is Hell located exactly? How big is it? What's the current population? If Hell is a place then all that should be easy to answer.
Hell is not a place, it's a condition. Hell is, by definition, a state of definitive exclusion from communion with God and those blessed enough to enjoy his presence. There is nothing theologically wrong with Pope Frances statement. Hell is not a place, it is a condition. It is eternal separation from God. The idea of Hell as a locale is no more valid than the idea of Heaven as a locale.
Specious argument. The planet Earth is a finite locale and thus, by your logic, we should know the current population. Truth is, we can only estimate. Further, in the spirit plane, we have no concept of space/size so we will never know "how big it is". How big is Heaven? It is a physical place, so that should be an easy answer as well, should it not? Have you been granted access to Heaven? St. John was and he never said how big it was, only the dimensions of the New Jerusalem.
Hell is a physical place, just in another dimension, one that we do not have access to in this life. Hell as a condition is true but that does not preclude the reality of it being a physical location.
Your description of Hell is one I can agree with. The Pope should clarify his remarks.
Well, there is the
‘Stairway to Heaven’
and then the
‘Highway to Hell’
The difference is reflective of the amount of traffic in each direction.....
