Sure!
If losing a skirmish insures winning a battle.
Oh?
And we know this how?
Luke 1:41
At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
You are welcome.
These days; I find myself ‘remembering’ things a bit differently than when I first heard them; and I look up things as a favor to me as well as for others.
We know the 13 yo thing, but really; how can we tell for sure?
The souls of believers are at their death made perfect in holiness, and do immediately pass into glory; and their bodies, being still united to Christ, do rest in their graves, till the resurrection.
Definitely not authoritative, but built upon reasoned analysis of scripture. Paul writes in Philippians 1:23 about departing to be with Christ. This implies that after one is finished with this life, they are taken immediately to be with Jesus. In Hebrews 9:27, the author specifically states that after this life is over, we go directly to judgement. He does not mention any in between. All derived from scripture but just as the concept of the Trinity, not specifically stated.
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
One of the few times I prefer the KJV to NIV. Jesus was pretty clear about sin and pointing it out to those around Him. The comparison to adults with children is stark. Jesus loved having children around Him and they loved being with Him. His direction that we should be like children in accepting the Kingdom of God is quite revealing and one that makes such a beautiful picture of His Holiness.
No one knows beyond what God has revealed. Though it gradually comes clearer via math and physics, through history, even after seeming just a tad bit more obscure.
Wow. Quite an illustration. And we should also be willing to set up a rescue mission a yard from Hell, as the Lord leads.
Many years ago I was severely burned with hot oil. Third degree burns as a kettle of hot oil exploded and caught fire when I stupidly dropped a large glob of frozen french fries and ice into the hot smoking oil.
I have done some dumb things in life, but never tried that one.
I raised my left arm in the air to examine it and stated, O shit, Im going to need to go to the hospital.(That was not a prayer!) Instantly this energy moved into my fingers and down my arm, creating goosebumps the size of large pimples the entire length of my arm. I just stood in amazement and had no idea what was happening. After about 30 seconds the goosebumps went away and the skin that was previously charred and burnt away had returned. There was no redness or even tenderness. This logical, left brained skeptic was shocked. If it had not been for a witness to the event, I would have thought myself totally crazy. What I observed and experienced was not possible.
Even so, it so undermined my logical belief system that I no longer trusted my logic. Thus began my search for answers as to the science of how this event happened. After returning for to the university and obtaining a degree in psychology that was of no help, I spent 15 years in neuroscience research.(I had been a business professor for many years prior) Only recently has the scientific explanation of the process become understandable to me. It fully supports the Bible. I share not to brag or elevate myself, but to explain how I arrived at my understanding of scripture. It is only by becoming empty and dying daily that the answers and experiences arrived. It is though my own weakness that the true strength can enter me as if I am full of myself I have no room for God. Blessings
What a miracle. God can use natural processes that would not naturally take place, like the parting of the Red Sea, and other times He can act wholly supernaturally, like Peter walking on water.
Glory to God for your miracle in any case.
Thank you for sharing Luke 1: I had forgotten about that one.
Mary Visits Elizabeth
39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea,
40 where she entered Zechariahs home and greeted Elizabeth.
41 When Elizabeth heard Marys greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!
43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.
45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!
Would satan cast out satan?
Sure!
If losing a skirmish insures winning a battle.
Matthew 12:
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
Recently, I spent several days at the Benedictine monestary in contemplative prayer and meditation. After a several hour meeting with the Abbot explaining in detail my life experiences and demonstrating a few unusual abilities, he gave me his blessing to move ahead publicly with lectures and workshops.
I’m as Catholic as most proclaiming Catholics. Give me a room full of atheists and priests, and they will be in agreement in a short time.
Wow, we have found a new messiah ....
LOL.... somewhere in the wilderness.
