Weird, I was just thinking of Rusty Staub this morning. They were discussing first baseball memories on the radio, this morning. Mine was 1977 Angels vs. Tigers, with my little league team. I remember only two things about that game: Frank Tanana pitched for the Angels (I knew the name from my Kellogg 3-D baseball cards), and Rusty Staub fouled a pitch back up into the screen and it stuck there, the rest of the game.

Much underrated ball player. RIP.

Frank Tanana.... saw him pitch a couple of times. His delivery was baffling.
