I read where he’s pissed because he didn’t get accepted at Berkeley. The article said he got a 1270 SAT. Someone should tell him even though Berkeley’s weird, they laugh at 1270 SAT scores.

Sorry, apparently he didn’t apply to Berkeley but he did apply to UCLA, and UCSD. They laugh at 1270 SAT scores too.

Weird that nobody told him how to apply to colleges. (Or more likely somebody did, but he doesn't know how to listen.) The lower number (25th percentile) is the number for recruited athletes, legacies and underrepresented minorities. The higher number (75th percentile) is the number for over-represented minorities and non-minorities.

1270 SAT? On the new scale? That’s pretty poor.

On the old scale that wouldn’t likely get you into the top tier of schools for anything academic.
