She is right, again. So unless he has an end run in mind, like using Mattis to build the wall, then we are looking at essentially a failed presidency. And if we lose the House in 2018, a paralyzed presidency. And of course the consequences of that are horrifying when you consider the country itself is at stake.

To be beaten by the likes of Paul Ryan and McConnell is not something Trump will want for his epitaph, so he must have something yet up his sleeve.

Nope. Was for Romney for the same reason she was for Trump. Immigration. Problem was she was wrong about Romney's real position and she feels like Trump has backed down too. Not an irrational idea at all, considering his softening on immigration especially DACA.

I have had several ask me the same in other posts. I am not willing to go all the say Trump outsmarted, or rolled anyone. I would say he is “gaming” the system. Meaning that he is using “their” rules in a manner that is useful to him. The bill is still a piece of _ _ _ _ , but Trump had one objective and he got it.

I’m no fan of hers but what she is absolutely right about the wall. It specifically forbids any new wall or even using prototypes for repair of existing wall. So yes Mitch and Ryan f’d us but good and Trump signed it.

I asked the same question here a few days ago, and it was explained to me that this only applies to the money allocated for the wall in the bill, and would not apply to the money diverted from the military.

Perhaps one of you can confirm that, since I don’t know if that’s true or not (I don’t want to believe it’s true simply because it sounds good).

Several reasons we believe Ann is wrong. And before I share, admittedly even I do not understand fully the "mechanics" of how this will be accomplished withing the frameworkf of the constitution. But what I do know. Immediately upon signing the bill, two letters were written to both houses. See one below.

The interpretation over the weekend is a little confusing to me, but it appears, President is using a 30 plus year rule to allocate certain funds. NOT ALL, but very specific sections as outlined in the letters.

On a personal level, I challenged in a tweet the accuracy of a certain part to afairly well known personality. Surprisingly, he answered explaining some details that how this came to be. I am accepting it for now. Plus once again. POTUS gave us this tweet which is the answer we were looking for

In any case, Ann should just calm down a bit and see IF there was a plan all along as many of believed there was. To be sure everyone . . . this is a very awfull crappy bill. But the president had one very specific objective and he HAD to have it now or we were in serious trouble. He got that objective at a huge price. Freedom ain't cheap. Much more details than I can explain here in this format. But thats why we think Ann is wrong
