libre is what I call a "Loservative", people like Bret Stephens and his ilk, who are willing to allow the Left to complete the packing of the Supreme Court and the Federal courts with ideological hard-left Lefties - just as long as they get to cling to their "principles" like a child's binky.

They would also get to wail and gnash their teeth in meaningless articles like the ones George "Losey McLoserson" Will writes.

Every day when I wake up, I get to think joyously about how Bill Kristol, Bret Stephens, George Will, Joe Scarborough & elhombrelibre are angrily pinching off an 0bama in their bathrooms, before they angrily stomp to their breakfast tables and angrily look at the headlines about what President Trump is accomplishing today, while they angrily drink their coffee and think angrily about how Trump is violating their sacred "principles".

The point is, those "principles" are completely phony. They use conservative orthodoxy as an excuse to attack Trump when (in their opinion) he strays from it. However, those noble principles and purity go down the drain when there's a Bush in office expanding the welfare state or making America safe for illegal immigrants.

Their loyalty isn't to principles or ideas, it's to making sure that the good old boy network of RNC vetted and approved candidates get elected. And you can't help but get the impression that they much prefer being the minority party, because then they can grandstand and make speeches while being absolved from any responsibility of actually accomplishing anything (because they can then blame their failures on being the minority party, as opposed to being ineffectual).
