I’ve been hoping to see diGenova as special counsel to investigate the special counsel (and all the other DOJ misconduct).

Maybe Trump’s saving him for that.

My thought, exactly! Also, President Trump wouldn’t need more lawyers if the investigation is terminated because the prosecutors on it are, themselves, under investigation for corruption. Something Joe and Victoria have been mentioning for the past couple of months.

Someone who has already pronounced the FBI guilty of criminal conspiracy is never even going to be proposed as SC, much less approved. And his law partner/wife represents a prosecution witness against the FBI.

Despite the President’s vitality at his age, septuagenarians are likely better background advisors than front line on action teams.

If they have conflicts of interest that prevent them from representing him with Mueller then the same conflicts of interest would probably keep diGenova from investigating Mueller.
