I am surprised it has taken this long for him to announce this - to me this is/was the obvious solution and couldn’t understand why it wasn’t put out there earlier - protecting our borders is clearly a proper use of the military, and $20B is a drop in the bucket for their budget.

When they get back to DC, with their asses, shredded and in ziplock bags, I don’t think they are going to be in a mood to fight the plan of the DoD to “conduct combat engineering pioneering exercises” along the southern border.
This DoD activity will be much easier than a similar one my late Grandfather supported back in the 40s, building the ALCAN Highway and supporting Dawson Pipeline.
