The Trump administration plans this summer to scrap a controversial Obama-era discipline rule forced on schools to close racial gaps in suspensions and arrests but that critics say pressures educators to turn a blind eye to escalating bad behavior.
The federal directive, issued jointly in 2014 by the US departments of Education and Justice, warned public school districts receiving federal funding — including New York City — that they could face investigation and funding cuts if they fail to reduce statistical “disparities” in discipline by race. On average, the administration noted, black students are suspended at three times the rate of their white peers.

This is really good, as reactions should be based on actions instead of race, though implementing it this school year instead of this Summer would be better.

In many locales, teachers’ unions and police associations are rather tight. I seems that something like that was done in re. Cruz at the school in Broward.

Small victory? This is huge. Most people have no idea how bad it is in inner city public schools. Even Democrat voting teachers are getting frantic. Trump should be making a major speech about this rather than getting into juvenile tweet wars with Biden.

I have driven a school bus among different school districts. Believe me, there is a mega mega mega difference of behavior among different races.

It is this rule that created the uncertainty, the confusion, the lack of direction within the FBI, Broward Sheriff, and associated entities. They couldn’t determine what to do amongst conflicting interpretations of the rule.
Liberals effed up the works once again, but few have openly recognized the source for what it is.
It was easier for the FBI to turn their back on the outrageous warning they received than to pursue the regulations, and become mired in more off-the-wall liberal politics. Same for the Deputies associated with Sheriff Israel. All the time none of them thought such a thing was even going to happen as did.
When Trump doesn’t do something that is what you believe in, why don’t we have a right to SCREAM at him? He is still my President, the one I voted for.
