AN ANTONIO - Earth Hour is the worlds largest grassroots movement and shines light on the need for climate action.
Every year since its induction, people around the globe commit to turning off the lights for one hour.
Earth hour is Saturday at 8:30 p.m. local time in whatever area of the planet you live in.
This year Earth Hour celebrates 11 years of saving energy and raising awareness on the impact of climate change.
Iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building, Space Needle, Las Vegas strip, Eiffel Tower and Big Ben all go dark for one hour in honor of Earth Hour.
Earth Hour supporters have successfully advocated for more climate-friendly laws and policies, such as those that have banned plastic in the World Heritage site of the Galapagos Islands, according to the website.
There are more ways to raise awareness and participate in Earth Hour than just turning the lights off.

no
I think Ill turn all of mine on.
I’m turning mine ON!!
I’m burning some tires.
That’ll work! I don’t know why nobody thought of this before...
Ditto
Everything will be on—Including the pool light and the outside floods front and back.
“saving energy”
Turning off the power plants for an hour might save the energy it takes to run the power plant, and turning off a light might save on your electric bill
But turning off a light is not saving energy. Electricity once created is either used or lost (with few exceptions)
This is another social conditioning stunt created by the left to mold people into a collective mindset. Make them easier to control.
Turn your lights on....and don’t forget to nuke the gay whales!
I’ve got a big slash pile that’s been compacting all winter. Burn season’s open. Today’s the day.
Earth hour is when I dump all my used oil and antifreeze in the river.
Is it Lenin’s birthday already?
Ill make sure to turn on all my lights and jack up the heat. Thanks for reminding me.
what horse manure
I’d be for turning off the lights on those child protesters shipped into Washington this weekend.
We need to all get used to freezing alone in the dark and picking through trash for a living. Because that is the future the enviro-commies have laid out for us.
I wouldn’t dump the anti-freeze, and the used oil should be dumped on a gravel driveway.
Like Winnie Mandela? Dont forget Ryan and McConnell!
Look at the bright side. After this climactic weekend, which will accomplish nothing, they might finally sit down and shut up.
Surely we are not meant to see David Hogg on the TV every day for the rest of our lives.
