To: PIF

My degree is in History. I’ve read history my entire life. All of my professors who addressed the subject said Civil War was misnamed, and that it was in fact a war of independence, but that since it had been called Civil War for so long, the term had become meaningless as it related to that struggle. Now, I can’t say that many of my professors agreed with that revolution, or thought the South pursued a noble cause.

So is my masters ... and English and Russian. Your profs were wrong. They redefine and rewrite as is too common these days - anything to mitigate what happened.

Rendering a well-know term meaningless is the point of rewriting history, so as to devalue a culture and a people leaving them open for whatever they are told by ‘authorities’ or in this case pseudo-history teachers.
