Excellent analogy. It was that stupid blunder that made the Clinton presidency possible. A tidal wave of misery and evil was unleashed from George HW Bush breaking his promise, and to make it worse, he got absolutely nothing in return for backstabbing his constituents.
It cost him his second term. Maybe I’ll tweet this to the President although he may not see it or care.
