Remember ET, The Extraterrestrial? When they released it on VHS, they DID remove the guns:That was actually for the 20th anniversary release in 2002. And, to be fair, when it was first released on DVD, Steven Spielberg insisted that both versions be included in the package, having apparently had a change of heart about the alterations.
