The chicoms plan to ship pig carcass to China. Process and package and ship back to the US. That will eliminate thousands of jobs and move taxable profit and controlled out of the US. Smithfield is just about the only pork you can get in our markets.
Walmart, Piggly Wiggly all Smithfield. Smithfield also bought out Farmland, which I thought had good pork. Is it a matter of time before they buy out Oscar Meyer? Don’t really like Smithfield. It’s stringy. Luckily, we have a shop that sells locally raised pork and beef. I buy from them.
Do you mean to tell me that Smithfield is the only pork processing plant in the U.S.?
