I took a couple philophy classes from a pretty good guy, way back when.
He was a terrible lefty but he didn’t mind if you argued with him-—in fact he welcomed it.
A while later I was working as a bartender when he walked in, grinning like a goat.
He said, “I didn’t know I was was helping send you on to a career in applied philosophy!”

I took a Yale philosophy class that was somewhat narrowly defined. It stuck with me. Any other philosophy, IMO, is as useful as astrology.
